SEQENS is a major player in pharmaceutical synthesis and specialty chemicals. The international group has 27 industrial sites and R&D centres mainly in Europe, Asia and America, and employs 3,200 people.

PCAS Canada, a subsidiary of the European group, founded in 1989 (formerly St-Jean Photochemistry (SJPC)), specializes in the synthesis, development and custom manufacturing of high quality materials by managing tight control limits and impurity levels at the ppb level. These materials are used by its customers in the formulation of light-sensitive resins, anti-reflective products for microelectronics or as semiconductors for the printed electronics industry. PCAS Canada also manufactures organic molecules used in the manufacture of drugs for the pharmaceutical industry.
